This mini feature was written by Dr. Taymullah Abdur-Rahman, as a promotion for his memoir, American Imam, released in 2024.  It was directed by Rob Kirwan. The feature was filmed on location at Masjid Quran in Dorchester MA, the original Mosque 11 where Malcolm X was a minister in 1952. The historical significance is not lost on system-affected Muslims, and the arc of the mini feature represents the overall struggle that they face. The film's focus is on the qualities of leadership. The takeaway is that leadership starts with knowing yourself, and then knowing the people you engage with so that in the event of potential conflict, one can de-escalate and move forward with rapport.
